Surgical Orthodontics

For some patients, a healthy, balanced smile cannot be obtained with orthodontic treatment alone.  An underlying skeletal discrepancy may necessitate jaw surgery to acheive a stable result. If this is the case, the pre-surgical orthodontic work-up can generally be done using either braces or Invisalign. After Dr. Babb and the surgeon determine that the teeth are in an ideal position, the patient may proceed with surgery.  In most cases, braces or Invisalign will be utitlized for an additional 3-12 months for any post-surgical fine tuning that may be needed.

At your initial consult, Dr. Babb will discuss with you the specifics of your individual case and get you in touch with her jaw surgery team.
